Sunday 22/8/10 Whilst we were at Temora we woke to a huge frost, 2 degrees inside the van, just a bit nippy, We met a pilot from Gladeston last night who offerred to take me up is his Jabaroo 2 seater for a flight, but unfortunately due to the cold morning Miss Susan (the Plane) got moisture into something and wouldnt start, so by the time she thawed out Tony was running late and I didnt get to fly, but once we get to Gladestone he has promised me a flight up there. It was still a great morning with lots of hot air balloons taking off.
Monday 23/8/10 Off to Narrenderra via Junee, Stopped off for supplies at the Chocolate and Licorice Factory, very worthwhile. We had lunch at a gorgeous little town Coolomon, lovely wide streets and old buildings.
Tuesday 24/8/10 At Lake Talbot Caravan Park, Had a big walk around the Common looking for koalas, but you guessed it didn't find any, but Dawson turned into a brown dog with all the mud and water along the Murrunbidgee River, it was absolutely spectacular, huge gum trees and very lush and green from all the rains.
Wednesday, Denniliquin to see the Ute Muster site, wet, cold miserable day so just passed on through.Thursday Staying at Maoma on the Murray River, cold and miserable weather, Enjoying the township of Eucha with all the old paddlesteamers etc. just a pity it is so bleak weatherwise.
